New and Exciting Events

Many exciting events happened this past week at Northpoint Christian School. First, we enjoyed the annual senior vs. faculty basketball game this past Wednesday. The senior girls beat the women faculty members, but the men faculty members beat the senior boys! In addition, we have had many boys’ soccer games, girls’ softball games, and boys’ baseball games.

This coming Saturday, Northpoint Christian School will be having a color run called the Color Splash 5 K. We are all looking forward to the first ever 5 K at our school and in DeSoto County. Northpoint Christian School is thrilled for these new things to come and for our different athletic competitions!

Spring Break is Over

This is our first week back from Spring Break. It was good that we were able to take a break from the busy schedule of activities and studies we have at school. Over Spring Break, our International Biblical Studies class traveled with teachers and school staff to Costa Rica to serve as short-term missionaries. While there, we played soccer with children, tutored students and women, and shared God's love with many of the people. It was a life changing trip and made me realize how blessed I am to have food, water, and shelter every night.
As a Senior, it's so strange to think that I only have 6 weeks left at our wonderful school. I am encouraged everyday by my teachers to work hard and focus on my studies until the year is over. Even though I am excited for graduation and the next chapter in my life to begin in the fall, I will miss the teachers, staff, and my friends at Northpoint Christian School.

Lady Trojans Played in the State Basketball Tournament

The Lady Trojans basketball team made it to the Tennessee Secondary Schools Athletic Association (TSSAA) final four teams in Nashville, Tennessee through a 47-44 Sub-State basketball victory over Franklin Road Academy of Nashville, TN. Last Thursday, students and faculty took a spirit bus to cheer on the girls as they played the semi-final game against the University School of Nashville on the campus of David Lipscomb University. Those who did not travel to Nashville watched the game on live stream in the high school gymnasium and cheered as the team won with a score of 51 to 49. This led them to the state championship game on Saturday where they played a great game against the Webb School of Knoxville. With a score of 58 to 40, the Lady Trojans came out as runner up in the Division II-A State Tournament. Both Ashtyn Baker and Kimberlee Keltner made the 2014 Division II- A Girls All-Tournament Team! Congratulations to the Lady Trojans and their coaches on an awesome season!
