Exam Week

This is a very important week at SBEC! Everyone is preparing for the exams that we take before we leave for Christmas Break. This could be a very stressful time for us, but with all of the help and preparation we have from the teachers, it isn't as difficult. As the first semester is finishing, the teachers are becoming more encouraging, reminding us to finish strong and do the best we can. I am very thankful for them!

It is also an accomplishment to see all of the hard work that we have done this semester pay off. Now we can relax and spend time with our families and celebrate the birth of our Lord and Savior! As we leave for this Christmas Break, I hope everyone remembers the reason for the season. Merry Christmas! "Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace, good will toward men." Luke 2:14

Being Involved

One thing I love about SBEC is the ability to become involved. It seems that there is something for everyone! One club that was started this year is called the Movement Club. The Movement is a club associated with Show Hope, an orphan care organization. This club is made up of students who are willing to stand up and help in the fight to end the orphan crisis. The Movement Club is unique because other students across the nation are starting these clubs. It is very cool to know that there are hundreds of other students in schools throughout the United States who want to lead others in caring for orphans.

Another organization I have been involved in at SBEC is the Student Council. This past week we had the opportunity to go on our annual trip to the Angel Tree Warehouse. We arrived at the warehouse and quickly went to work sorting toys and bikes for children. We had a blast, and it is something the entire Student Council looks forward to every year! We not only got to spend time together, but also helped others in the process.

We left the warehouse exhausted. However, it was not without smiles on our faces, thankful for the way God used us! I could very easily go on and on about the various activities SBEC has provided me over the years. These are just two examples of the many opportunities SBEC provides as a way to get involved.
