Although
Computer Applications 1 is a required course to graduate, I also took it this
semester to learn the many exciting possibilities as a result of using the
computer. Mrs. April Mahony taught us many different things in Microsoft Word. She
gave us an assignment to create a menu for a restaurant inspired by a theme or
country. This tested our knowledge of fonts, design, layout, and color as well
as the use of margins, tabs, and spacing. My inspiration was from the country
of Greece. As I created this menu, I learned so much about Word and the country
of Greece. It was an amazing experience to learn about the culture of Greece
through this fun project!
